When I worked for Beatnik I was lucky enough to be surrounded by mostly men. Men designers, engineers and marketing folks. One particular engineer sent me a link to Real Doll and I was both fascinated and disturbed by what you could buy with 6k. What scared me most was you could send a picture to this factory and they will make a doll that looks just like you. It was only a matter of time when they start becoming fixtures in art and showcased in regular television. Ew.
