You’ve got your Virginia Woolf for the whole feminist pov, your Raymond Carver for American realism, your Maxine Hong Kingston for the Asian experience. I know what is considered literature. Talk to any English major and you’ll get a whole slew of book suggestions that will tap into your subconscious and make you reconsider your religion, the way you dress…hell the way you cut your hair. But I’ve found that the whole reason why I studied English in the first place is because I love to read. And NOT just literature, but all books. Which brings me to my admission.
